Water/coolant for T25/T28.
Coolant lines are supposed to make your turbo last longer. It's not absolutely necessary that you add cooling lines, because people will argue all day long about the pros and cons. If you have the means to add the lines, do it. If it creates problems (like overheating), unhook them and leave them open, don't plug them up.
I use mine because I don't want to sit in my car for 2 minutes to cool down and I don't want to use a turbo timer.

They aid in cooling the turbo, like if you just ran it while boosting and then just shut it off, the water cooling helped a little even though that is never good for a turbo. Just make sure you either:
A. Don't boost for the last couple mins you're driving before you shut it off
B. Keep it running for a minute or 2 after you stop to let the turbo cool down. Turbo timers were made for this.
