Alot of the boosted guys around here like to run water/alchohol injection and they say it helps keep them cool. What do you guys think of this , is it a good idea or just a waste of money.

 

they do it a lot on evo's its cool if you do alky you get higher octane fuel too.

 

That would depend on what kind of setup you have right.??

Runing a 6 PSI setup with watter and alky may be a waste of money.
But runing alky and water injection on a 10+ psi setup not.

 

water and allcohol is nice if you set it up correctly, use denatured not rubbing alcohol, etc. i researched this a while back and all i did was type it into google...you will find tons of info on the science behind water injection . just research and read

 

it cools the combustion chamber temps so you can run more boost. do more research and see the other ---- it does

and this is overkill on a stock honda block IMO. You can reach the limits of the motors with not much boost.

i dont really think IAT's are much of an issue for many of us.

 

Water/Meth/Alky injection is really good as a detonation suppresor as well.
