Wastegate/RRFPR Source

In my current configuration, my wastegate gets its signal from the compressor housing. My MSD 1:1 rising rate fuel pressure regulator gets its signal from the intake plenum. I'm running at 7psi without any problems right now.

I was just reading in Maximum Boost that these two should be coming from the same source, so in my case I would switch the MSD fpr to a t'd line off of the compressor housing. My factory fpr is still in place to regulate under vacuum.

Does this make sense to you? I know Maximum Boost isn't perfect, and this specific section was referring to carbed setups, but I thought it was worth the question.

Well i can't help your specific situation but i always run vac sources off the intake mai usuallly the PCV vac line, its nice and big...plug the compressor housing

Car has a poorly designed PCV system and it's tied up with catch cans.

Anyone else have any input?

Re: Wastegate/RRFPR Source

just the port for the PCV valve which should be a fairly strong vac source on the manifold but i guess Hyundais are different then hondas but thats a pretty common source on any car, you shouldn't be using that if you have a ctach can anyways since on boosted cars you need a pre turbo vac source...

Brake booster is another laternative again a very commn large vac source from the intake manifold
