Default wastegate question / issue

hey everyone,

got the turbo all running and just finalizing and i noticed that the wastegate is wide open at idle and as i get on the throttle is closes....i noticed that there is a vacuum port on top (which is what im using for vacuum source) and another one on the bottom of the wastegate(currently blocked)

from what i have read the one i have blocked is the primary port and im taking it i should switch it around from the way i have it...

i just need some people's opinions on this and this is a no name wastegate 38mm.....

i cant get any pics right now cause my camera isnt here with me but if someone can help please do

thanks

Mike

you have them backwards hook the vac line to the lower port on the wastegate and leave the top one open. just about the only time you will/would use the top port is for an electronic boost controller
