Default wastegate question..?

hey everyone i have a little problem. lately ive been haveing problems with my wastegate hitting my radiator. Ive looked around the net quite a bit and have found very little turbo setups like mine with an external wastegate. my idea is to make my turbo an external wastegate rather then the stock internal, this would give me at least 2 inches of clearance therefor solving my problem. i was in the market for a new exhaust mani anyways. so main question is, is it that hard to convert my turbo from internal to external? please anyone help

I dont forsee being to hard, considering that your goint to change to a diff manifold.. and its also dependant on your turbo.. since you gave no spec.
