Is wastegate opening????
 

is there any way to tell if my wastegate is opening? i wasn't getting more then 2psi boost so i moved the vacuum source to a nipple i put on the charge pipe but still only see 2psi.. is my wastegate opening to soon? is there any manual boost controllers i could get for pretty cheap that are any good? could it be anything else?

Make sure you don't have any leaks in the charge pipes first. Did this just happen or has it always been this way? What turbo, wastegate psi,....

it's been like this since i put it on last weekend but i was fixing all the other problems. it is a t25, internally gated at 8psi. when i extended the actuator arm welded it instead of threading it, could the heat messed up the spring inside of it?

It very well could have. I'm pretty sure it is a rubber diaphram inside it and you might have melted a hole in it. Apply vac pressure and see if it holds it.

if it is an exteranl wastegate then you will be able to hear it open. recheck your setup...the top nipple should be open, and the nipple on the side should be connected to the compressor housing. If its not like that then fix it. If it is, then you have a leak somewhere.
