Default waste gate problem

i was looking at my turbo today and notice something btw its a t3/m10... is the flap to the wastegate suppossed to be open a little bit with my stock waste gate?

no, it should be closed with some pressure. is your wastegate adjustable?

righto. It won't spool like that. If it is adjustable it'll have threads in the middle of the arm. You just take off the clip holding the actuator arm to the swingvalve assem and screw it tighter. Then clip it back on when you've got it short enough. Or if it doesn't have threads to shorten it, I hear you can bend the arm, but I've never done it.
