want to turbo my 02 SI
Hey guys whats up
I am looking for help on what to use to turbo my 02 SI. I want to fully build it with pistons, rods, valves, springs, etc. I fany one could help me choose a turbo and how to figure out the fuel set up for this car i would greatly appreciate it. Also, i want to buils as much as i can myself, so if you could also help me find different books and other reading materials that would help me i would appreciate it. Thanks Jonathan |
Re:want to turbo my 02 SI
i hope you have someone who knows what they're doing to help you build that engine. there are lots of things you need to know rather than just tourqin' bolts down. one thing that newbies forget is to pre lub everything

Re:want to turbo my 02 SI
do you have any really good import tuning shops around where you live? i mean ones with dynos and have services like head porting. they would be able to help you out.
unless you dont really care about the motor then i wouldnt do it yourself without having practice. i would build my $1000 rex motor myself but i'm sure yours is a bit more expensive. i'm sure the engine management on that thing is hella complicated. a standalone like AEM would prob be your best bet. |

FWIW: thy may do it as a prototype - but don't get in a hurry. they definatly take care of the paying customers first! |

Yea there are plenty of import shops in my area. And i am very interested in building my block. I know its not easy but its what i like to do. I have some practicde but not a lot and definetly not with these new K-series engines.
Thanks typert, I will check them out and see what they say. |
