Walbro pump or Mustang 5.0L

I can get a 5L pump for 10 bucks and a walbro pump for 170 the 255lph forced induction. These are canadian prices. Not sure which way to go as I have a big loan right now. Will the 5L pump flow enough fuel for 10-12 psi?

THX guys. what is the flow rate of 5L pump

a friend of a friend is using an 80s GT 5.0 fuel pump, on a jackson racing supercharged civic si. It's working, but makes some funny noises when he gets low on gas :)

I assume these are inline?

I don't know that much, he didn't install it himself either had a performance shop install it. He's using an FMU for fuel management to by the way (The Jackson Racing one).

But it does work, he's running with the 10 psi upgrade, and he's not having detonation problems since he went to colder plugs - the car is burning sufficiently rich and still emissions passible :)

i seriously don't think you guys need new fuel pumps until you reach 10-12+ psi. seriously

As far as CRX pumps go. Anything over 7ish psi on Dseries w/ fmu, you need one.
They can peak at around 70-75 psi on a FMU.

Running 450's on B16 at 7psi, and can only hold about 50psi steady pressure.

I'm pretty sure that shop through it on because the FMU was choking for gas.
It would have been a waste of gas to put a 255 lph pump on, so I'm guessing thats why they went for the mustang one.

to LEED im assuming Tony was talking about an
intank stock pump from a wreckers.
You remove the actual pump from the intank
assembly, and put into your civic assembly.
to CHACKO your buddys is making noises because
he never took before and after measurments
for overall depth, their is a slight hose modification
and heavier wire guage needed.
As i said i have a 155 from a '92 GT it works well
because it doesnt raise my static fuel press.
very much at all .Im running a 8:1 fmu @8 psi.
The reason i didnt just buy an after market one
(other than the fact im a cheep bastard)is because
they are very expensive here in Canada and mustangs
are plentiful in wreckers because they dont like SNOW
