Re:Walbro hp 255lph fuel pump

No thats the wrong pump. You want the regular not the high pressure. They make both. The regular one wont ---- up your fuel pressure.

Re:Walbro hp 255lph fuel pump

you dont need the adj.fpr with uberdata. the stock one is fine.
that's the same pump i got.

i run a Walbro 255lph HP pump... stock FPR...

also that pump is good for like 500hp ;)

Re:Walbro hp 255lph fuel pump

... ok again lol thanks for the replys but its still 2 - 2 for hp or regular? ...

im not going for a 500hp build.. just a mild turbo on z6 for now shooting for 200-220hp... maybe later build bottom end ect.. but i think 200-220 is enough for a daily driven civic.. 8)

8-10 psi 14b uberdata.. if i can just buy the reg 255 and not need a adj fpr id like to do that...

eh, I wouldnt run 500whp on a walbro ::)

but reguardless both the regular and HP are good pumps, I used the regular in my first crx, and the HP in my current one.

Re:Walbro hp 255lph fuel pump

did your fuel pressure inscrease using the HP one? or are u using a adj fpr? im trying to get the one i can use without getttin a adj fpr right away..

so can the HP pump be used with stock fpr and have stock fuel pressure?

HMT-Admin 01-17-2005 01:33 PM

Re:Walbro hp 255lph fuel pump

I always ran a stock fuel pressure regulator, what are you worried about if it bumps it up to 40-45psi at your base who cares.

If you are tuning this thing with an adjustable fuel map you can change it so it runs fine.

Re:Walbro hp 255lph fuel pump

ok yea thats what i was wondering.. if i could control the fuel pressure w/ uberdata..

so i guess ill just go wth the hp one..

thanks for all the replys

Re:Walbro hp 255lph fuel pump

no you cant control fuel pressure with uberdata, just injector pulse.

i3lazedx 01-18-2005 01:48 AM

Re:Walbro hp 255lph fuel pump

ok but the hp one will be ok right as long as i adjust in uberdata? set the injectors at 450 and fp at 52.. bc of the 10psi increase from the 255 pumps?

correct?

both pumps make the fuel pressure increase just the HP continues to flow after 60-70psi

please correct me if im wrong?

The Walboro has been proven many times to go over 500hp.

You'll be perfectly fine with that Walbro then. Jeff or anyone else, I'm curious to know what kind of fuel system modifications actually need to be done when reaching high HP like that. What do they swap the stock fuel lines with etc.? Not that i'm planning to ever be able to have 500HP under my ass in a Honda, but it's just interesting to know.

Every high HP setup i've seen usually runs AN lines. Nothing like a 1000psi overpriced piece of hose :D J/K, i like the AN lines personally, much nicer and neater than standard line.

Re:Walbro hp 255lph fuel pump

Hmmm, pretty cool. That would be alot of work having to replace the fuel lines from the pump to the engine :o But if it saves your engine, then it's worth the time. I've never actually seen any high HP Honda's/Acura's in person to check them out. Maybe someday. Or I'll be the first ;)
