VW type 1 single port setup- T25?
 

Hi Guys,

New to the forum but I have been researching the simplicity of adding a T25 to a STOCK VW 1500 single port engine, based on an older post on the Samba forum. The guy did pretty well with it back then, knowing that it probably would not produce much usable power over 5,000 RPMs. However, running it on E85 he got it up to 20 lbs boost IIRC.

Anyhow, the turbo he chose was a T25 off of a Mitsubishi Eclipse automatic, and was spec'd at .45 hot side and .43 cold side.

My question is - is anyone familiar with such a system and if so, are there any recent manufactured turbos, or better turbos available for such an application? Any input from those in the know would be greatly appreciated.
