2day I did some extra work..

I finished the last flange, and started with the downpipe collector.



The flange is comming to the original dowpipe. its a 2-1 (downpipe - midpipe)



a little welding to attach it.







note the thin flange! hehe 3 mm or less, i dont know, i dont ------- care ! as long as its air tight and closes the internal WG.



I still need to clock the turbo.
2mrrw I'll finish the downpipe, and if i have some extra time, I can finish the Wastegate as well

Its going to be a tight fit! Lots of time, lots of measurements, Lots of testfitting.... Its killing me !

when you think you'll be busy 1 day, and you say you'll be busy 2 days to make sure its going to be OK, you'll be busy for 4 days...... blehhh

you need to cut one of the elbow runners and weld in a short spacer pipe, a belt sander (the machine you posted a pic of) will not take care of that warp. trust me.

The oil adapter-ring on the engineblock



Then i started working on the turbo. the centerpiece needed to be clocked 180 degrees.

That ****** was tight and wouldnt move at all! so I soaked the mothafucka !! like I filled a bathtub

the result: few hours later, some hammering. a 180 degree clocked turbo.



the banjofitting didnt fit. so i had to cut it, and use another banjo fitting. i connect these 2 parts with a rubber fuelline.

It looks like the WG bajofitting is toutching the alternator, but its not the case when the manifold is mounted to the engine. there will be 1 cm of space.

I mounted the screamer pipe.



the oilpan had to come out, so i could make a hole in it for the oilreturn.



I wiretapped the return, there isnt much left but its just enough.



used some teflontape and some liquid gasket. (cant see the liquid gasket on the pic)



testfitting the turbo + wastegate and downpipe.

what to do next:

- injector fittings.
- finish the intake.
- decide where the IC goes.
- solder each individual wire from the wireharnas to the sensors.
- connect the wireharnas from the resistorbox (dont have this one yet)
- IC and piping.
- fix the warped manifold flange (if its going to be a problem)
- test the oil drain. ( i didnt use a restrictor, i hope the 2 banjofittings wil lower the pressure enough)

now im going to drink a nice cold beer !

I’m having the same dilemma as you do regarding injector fitment. I know that some injector pockets are available (http://www.msdignition.com/mm5/merch...Yes&Quantity=1)

I thought of maybe getting something like that, however I have Denso injectors and I’m pretty sure they’re not the same dimension.

Some people machine their own injector bungs.

The important thing will be to get those injectors all aligned the same way with a lot of precision if you use a rigid fuel rail.

Whatever you do, please post it up, I’m doing the same kind of intake, but I’m far from being as much advanced in my project. It will help me a lot.
