Just wait a little while until this site is up and running and you will have tech articles and pictures on how to do your own turbo setup. I'm not sure if there will be any turbo projects on VW's, but it will give you an idea of what parts you will need to get and where they go.

Basically you will need a turbo maifold, turbo, factory gasket, adapter plate, downpipe, oil lines, coolant lines, charge lines, intercooler, fuel management, boost gauge, air/fuel gauge, BOV, wastegate... maybe a few other things I can't think of.

do you have fuel injection or the cis set up? it will be easier to do it if you have the digifont fuel injection setup.

eiptuning.com sell a "starter kit" for the 8v dub engine, a manifold, turbo, oil lines etc.. not sure if it comes with a downpipe

this just leaves you with the fuel management and charge piping/intercooler to sort out yourself.. may be worth looking into if you arent mechanically minded

going back 8 or 9 years ago when i turboed my rabbit gti, i used a diesel manifold and the kkk turbo with it. keeping the boost around 5 psi, the stock cis system was maxed out, but worked. on your cross-flow motor you should be able to use the same manifold but it might be really tight. unfortunately for pre-built dub systems, its really expensive, and you don't see the power levels you would expect out of a turbo (on the 2l's). also a turbo will usually only give you vr performance. fun car with good low end torque though, so if you get it running it should be a good street car. happy boosting!

well, lets start with the oil pan. just take the pan off...drill a hole and have a small pipe welded to it...shizam...oil return for your turbo. Cost if you can't weld it yourself...$15-30 at any machine shop (depends on if they have a minimum amount charged.)

You start by going to VWturbo.com, finding what you want, and saving your pesos. Then you e-mail me and I get you the hookup. ;)
