Default Vitara or forged is the question.

Im nearing the end of my build and about to start assembling all of my parts.....Right now i have some eagle rods and vitara pistons on a a6 with z6 head. I know the pistons cant hold as much as something like a weisco piston and im starting to worry about the piston slap and weakness of the vitara. Im shooting for a bit under 300 whp and am kind of in a toss up. Should I just keep the vitaras and not worry so much or go with something like a je/srp piston .20 over? I was thinking about srp but from what I have herd they dont sound worth the money and I would be probably just as safe with vitara piston. All advice is welcome....

i run the vitaras. They'll definately take you to 300hp. i run 20psi daily on them. A great alternative to expensive forged ones. The piston slap is pretty noticeable.. but hasnt hurt anything in my car so far.

Ditto on this. I'm somewhere over 7k miles on them and the noise is noticeable/annoying sometimes... but they work still ;p. I'm currently at 15psi on a t3 60/63 and my old 14b tune... im planning on maxing it all out... and seeing how it goes.... boom or woah.

Lol, and I just noticed that he and I have a VERY similar setup HF/Audi WG onto it, same t3, 3in dp, greddy instead of dsm (retapped from my dsm ), xspower fmic modified for pseudo backdoor format on my EF, and 450 DSMs....

btw... update your sig... 20psi daily and only 12psi tuned?

i have never heard them in a honda but they slapped like crazy my old tracker. i heard if you get overbored vitaras they dont slap as much. it is kinda hard to decribe the sound but find someone with a tracker/ sidekick and see if they let you listen to it on a cold start up.
