variable nozzle turbine turbochargers
i don't know if this has been brought up here yet. i've been seeing these things on small to medium size diesels. the concept of it is pretty cool that there is a nozzle that adjust on low and high rpm's and help reduce turbo lag on big AR turbos. i don't really know what actuates these variable nozzles yet. maybe some kind of vacuum or something electronic?....any way we can integrate this to our homemade setups???

Of course there is.

According to the article, the guy needed to add an actual wastegate to his setup to control overboost. But apparently the VNT worked very well in lower load conditions.
