vacuum on boost gauge

Default vacuum on boost gauge

what should the vacuum be at idle on the guage? mines showin like 17 and after it gets warmed up it shows about 15. is this aite?

it should be higher than that. more like 20. i cant remember where my z6 is at idle but its 20-22 in hg.

so maybe a leake? or just a fuked up gauge. this is why i hate this mechanical stuff

sounds like a leak to me. does your gauge show 0 when the engine isnt running? if it does then chances are its a leak. are you getting full boost early enough in the revs?

ye it shows 0 when off. will look for leakes tomorrow. about the boost. the guage only goes to 0 when the car is revved while standing. and in first it shows some boost in the high rpms. on second it shows proper boost when the turbo spools up. the boost thing isnt a guage problem its just lag. btw im runnin a garrett m24 .60ar comp and .86ar ex. i know its a big turbo for a d series but ya i like it. does real good in 3rd.

that makes sence. that turbo is big enough to overcome a small leak and boost like normal. just check all of your connections. it is probobly a leaqk in the boost gauge hose at some point

my car, at idel is about 15 vac when its warmed up, but ive had stage 2 cams put in, and ive heard that that dramatially changes the vacum

btw when i rev the vac goes up to bout 0 and then if i stop revving the vac goes down like 22 and stays 22 for about 2-3 secs and then comes back at 20.
