V8 Turbo - only boosting from one head?
Anybody has built a turbo kit for a v8 that only have one of the manifolds building boost? I searched but found nothing talking about this subject. My car is a hybrid and there is no way for me to be boosting using both sides because theres not enough room on the drive side.
It's an LS1 Motor and I only want to run 5 to 8 pounds.
I looked everything over and if I want to make this work I can only use the passenger side manifold to produce boost. I would use truck manifolds on my project but ony the passenger side would be pointing up.
Any help is apreciated. If you know of a similar project being done, let me know.

ever thought of running a pipe from the drivers manifold underneath the motor to the turbo. if the car is too low and there is a little bit of room up front, turn the mani backwards and run a pipe in front of the motor to the turbo.
there is also the rear-mounted turbo systems...research STS systems....copy them.
what car is it in...maybe helpful for us to know

Mechanical engineer I am not but something about that setup if I'm interpreting you correctly says that ---- would be kinda fucked...
unequal unbalanced loads back and forth on the crank + setting up fuel would be awful interesting. Then there is the whole timing issue....
I could be completely wrong and these are only aSSumptions but yeah...
btw there is no such thing as not enough room. it may not be pretty but there is ALWAYS a way...

running boost pressure of about 15 psi mean you have approximately 30psi backpressure inside the manifold, while an n/a engine usually has around 4psi backpressure in the manifold.

thats not a good idea. make your own log manifolds. its not that hard
i cant believe nobody has offered the rope solution to the problem. that also seems very fitting to this post
