uuhh is this normal?

Well been boostin somewhat hard for the past month or so. Roughly 8-8.5 psi untuned. 99 b16a2

I took off my valve cover to paint it and i noticed some burrs around the valve springs. Kinda like someone took a dremel and scored the walls. They appear to be in most of the same spot throughout the valves.

Also, I have been sprayin oil under my hood right above my distributor cap. I thought it was because i redid my oil feed line, and some oil maybe was sprayin up. But there is some oil sprayin and i can see some on my hood. Does it have to do with this hole? (Its directly to the left of cylinder number 4) This hole doesn't look normal. Any ideas?

Looks like casting flash which has been ground off with a coarse burr in the top photo (I've seen this before), and casting flash which was not ground off in the bottom photo. I doubt this has anything to do with your oil "spray". Casting flash like you see in these pictures is a good example of what a good engine builder should take the time to remove, along with any other burrs which may break off and contaminate the oil.

Happy boosting,
Sam
