i have heard of people using the eclipse turbo manifold on this engine and on the f22, is this true? i was told that u had to enlarge like two of the bolt holes but the ports match right up. also what is the differnce between the 420a and the 4g63 manifolds and which one would i use if i can use one? if any one can PLEASE help i will appreciate it.

 

i have seen it done before, awhile back, and it worked fine.

just relocate the bolt paterns and the manifold fits.

 

Yup, just hog out some of the bolt holes on the manny, and it fits just fine. I'm currently in the process of doin this to my g/f's f22. As far as the differences in manny's go, i dunno...i'm just usin a 93 eclipse turbo manny with the matching 14b.

 

Wow, thats cool to know, even though i dont ever thing ill be dealing with either series, btu still a cool fact.

 

the 4g63 hs a different bolt pattern then the 420a. besides that not a whole lot of difference from one is turbo and the other is natural aspirated.

 

420a is built by chrysler isn't it? The 4g63 is mitsubishi's world engine platform.

I looked at the link it was a bit long but I still found some useful info I ordered a dsm mani but When they say you have to get rid of the mount do they mean the front tranny mount. Plus I got an rhb5 I'd like a t25 if anyone wants to trade or has an extra one.
