Using an Audi B5 A4 K03 turbo to boost a B18A
I got a chance to get a free Audi B5 A4 K03 turbo and was wondering if it's possible to use it to boost my B18A? Just curious cuz I'm getting it free so might as well put it to use well unless it's a tiny *** turbo and a waste of time... what do you guys think?
A guy brought one over to my house one time with some parts he was selling me and seriously the turbine wheel was no bigger than a quarter. I'd go with an $80 14b over that any day.
Aww man that sucks! I thought I was getting a usable turbo but oh well..
But can't I just use it in home made setup now until I get a better turbo or does it take time and money to switch from one turbo to another? Sorry.. very new to turbo setups..

The flanges are weird on it too, so if you wanted to upgrade to a bigger turbo you'd have to switch your whole manifold and downpipe. Why not just go with a Garrett T3 ($60-$120) or a small Mitsu turbo ($60-$140)? They both are very universal and offer easy upgrades later. I have a brand new Mitsubishi TD04L-14T I'll sell really cheap or a remanned T25 available. The KO3 just is tiny and funky to install. It's a lot of trouble for a tiny turbo.

im going to assume you have never seen a ko3 before.
