useing a ducted fan as a turbo? sounds possible
I was chatting with a friend that is into rc hobbies and he indicated he just succesfully used a ducted fan with a 27 turn electric motor, in the intake track powwered by the bikes electrics. the system is only activated by a full throtle switch. He indicated the system is able to reach 5lbs of boost. Has anyone tried this before and is 5 lbs worth the effort on a crx?
Wait, what is the setup this guy put this on, you mention RC hobbies, and a bike, so is it an RC bike with a tiny little engine? If so even if he could get 5psi on it, doesn't mean you could on a big (by comparison) CRX engine.
Don't know if you're talking about the same type of fan, but https://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_projects/el_blower/

the application is a 800cc bike so half the displacment of a crx, the motor is not a regular 27 turn but a high end motor. a 7-9 turn would not provide enough sustained rpm this is the reason for the 27 turn, I gess for a inventment of 150.00 its worth a try, any ideas for fuel managment
