Default unsure about motor strength

what fully built setup would work better to run high boost levels in the range of 15-20 daily?
a fully built h22 or
a fully built b20/vtec?

It really depends on what you mean by "Fully Built". If its really FULLY built, either of them will stand a good chance of lasting.. The H22 is a native vtec motor, but then again, both of them will have upgrade internals, sleeved, etc.... so, it really all depends on what your definition of "built" is.

well pretty much everything will get re-done or be brand newistons, bored, ported, spun and balanced, etc.

depends on what car u are putting the motor in.

a fully built B20 can be bored out, i have seen a GSR bored out to a 2.1 Letre motor fully built in a 99 SI coupe(friend of mine in the army).

the b series would be cheaper just because it is cheaper to install in a Teg or civic, and you have more room to work with.

later.

the built h22 will have a better rod/stroke ratio for running high rpms reliably... so i say H22

The only way to build an H22 is with sleeves. To my understanding and I don't know exactly why, you can't install forged internals in an h22 on the stock sleeves. Why are you limiting opinions to these two setups?

well hoggy up there just pulled some great numbers with his b16a2 on 9psi. he got 237whp and i think 160-70 lbs of torque. ask him about it. and gdrumm has a turbo h22 running 6psi. talk to him about that one
