Default Two small questions (Don't kill me!).

I just have two questions.

Are the B16/LS/GSR/Type R oil pans all the same. I am wondering because I have a friend with an already tapped LS oil pan with return line and was wondering if it will fit my B16.

Second question.

I have a Turbonetics Evo 38mm WG with a 9 PSI spring in. Since the turbo build I am using will be at 9 PSI do I need to run a boost controller. How does a boost controller work, just restrict flow to the WG, keeping it closed longer, I am still confused about that.

Thanks for everyone help.

Cole.

if its a friend of yours have him/her bring it over and test fit it... i think that some of the different ones would mate up with eachother but i am not totally sure which ones do and which ones dont.

good luck

if they dont it will be because different bolt patterns or clearance of the cross members.

Here's what a detective would do, or if you're young, a CSI. Go to a site like Rock Auto or where ever and "pretend" like your shopping out, oh lets say, oil pans. Look at the b16 oil pans, write down the numbers, then look at the LS oil pans write those numbers down, now compare them. See where I'm going with this?

second answer: Google "boost controller" then print what you find and feel free to refer back to it, when ever the urge hits you.

After a test fit today we have concluded that all the oil pans are the same.

Well atleast LS/B16/GSR, those are all the blocks we had.
