Twin turbo question?
I was thinking about a TT setup for a D16y8, but i want to use a turbo that would be exceptionaly small maybe one off a motorcycle and then a T25 for the bigger one. I am tring to get constant boost.
What could i use for the small one, like full boost @ 1000rpm and 4psi? I searched the web and found nothing... HELP! Thanks |
Re:Twin turbo question?
you'll never fully boost at 1,000 rpms. a twin turbo will have more lag than a single turbo. and if your going to put that small of a turbo on 2 cylinders than your going to choke out those 2 cylinders while the other cylinders with the bigger turbo will breathe easier. Your going to have such an a/f imbalance in the motor its not worth doing.

Re:Twin turbo question?
He's talking about doing it sequentially. Seems hard but not impossible. You should focus more on finding a small turbo that you can get a different compressor wheel for for the first turbo or maybe a forklift turbo. I do think that you are asking for more work and trouble than its worth but it would be cool to see. Good luck.

Re:Twin turbo question?
you'll be more than satisfied with a single turbo. dont waste your time or resources trying to put a TT setup on the motor because you dont even know what you're getting into....
