twin turbo manifold
im starting to mock up my manifold today and had a question. i saw abaz's setup and he had cylinders 1 and 4 running one turbo and 2 and 3 running the other. can you use 1 and 2 to run one and 3 and 4 for the other? please dont post tellin me to just get one turbo. any help will be appreciated.

If you are considering this project and you have to ask this question, then you should stab your self in the face with a rusty pair of scissors.

Re: twin turbo manifold
I had a crazy idea like this once.

Re: twin turbo manifold
for fucks sake children...
the answer to your question in part is...yes you can run 1-2 and 3-4 pattern instead of 1-3/2-4 pattern. However, will it hurt efficiency or perform as well as the 1-3/2-4 pattern, I can't answer that...but its something to keep in mind. |
Re: twin turbo manifold
You want to design the manifold the the exhaust pulses, 1-4, 2-3 is the most efficient way to go so both turbos are spooling equally

Re: twin turbo manifold
true dat, shoulda juss done like your pal and gone 1-4 2-3.... Now heres a real question, does anyone know what the pulses of a 7MGE Cressida engine are??? I'm considering a twin turbo project myself, but with the right motor....
