Turning the boost off? (T-25)

I'm going to have to go into have emmisions done soon (DENVER SUCKS!!) and I'm wondering if I can adjust my waistgate so I get NO boost at all.(it is adjustable) I have a T-25 out of a apex-i kit. I'm just afraid to mess with it unless I know what I'm doing...

make the wastegate stay open. and disconnect the charge pipes from the TB and pop a filter on it there.

Would it work the way I was saying too. The only reason I say this is that the assholes at the emmisions place start asking questions if they see anything that isn't attached to something. They usually don't know ---- anyway ::)...I'm tring to keep from attracting any extra attention 8)

That wouldnt really change emissions much would it? As the turbo would still be on there. Just not making boost?

I'm using the SAFC so I can just turn the fuel way down and run it lean...I can't do this with it boosing and still be safe...I can tell you for sure that it won't pass if it's boosting, it runs too rich, too much unburned leftovers

if your using the afc hack, and your car boosts at part throttle, as long as it runs in closed loop like mine does, the computer will hold the mixture close to stoich and you will pass with flying colors. Mine stays in closed loop until 70% throttle or drastic accelaration.

Hey BTW, are you in Denver?

you should be able to get a nice stoich mixture with the afc and boost

Why would you even need to disconnect the wastegate? are you going to be boosting on the emissions tester? heh.. I've gone through emissions a few times and have passed just fine, just return the fuel system exactly to stock and you should be just fine. Meaning AFC settings all @ 0.. no regulators, no big injectors etc.

Another idea for thought ....

If you have an intercooler, just disconnect the intake to the IC and put a filter on it.

And if your running open dump tube, then your fucked unless you remove the turbo and manifold and bolt up your old header and downpipe.
