well there issues with it. what are you turbing. that might be more helpful. gonna need a carb box a pressure refernced fuel pump and the list goes on. by the time you setup a carb with a turbo and the proper accesories to fuel it EFI isnt that much more exspensive.

Ok well only a few know about this but I am turbo'ing a 1985 5.0 BUT its not a 5.0 Try more a 5.0 shell with a 351c HO out of a torino I have NEVER seen a EFI system for a c motor.

a 302 boss is a 302 with 351c heads but you have to use a special intake.

Hence the reason for staying carbbed,

ok here is my idea so far..

I will use a base plate that goes under the carb custom bent and welded. it will have a LIP for some sort of fastener i will most likely use a rubber seal like the rubber used on good oil pan gaskets, it will have 2 inlets curved slightly upward one on each side. Twin turbo some huge turbo haven't decided what yet, Custom manifolds welded by a friend at a shop so it will be exactly what I need. Piped back out and down to my existing 2-1/2 exaust. Turbos will mount on the front of the motor since i think i am getting rid of my PS. and well use yer mind on the oil system its not that hard to figure out. I will Make a sketch later

your gona put boost in under your carb?

im confused here, but isnt that gonna run lean as ----. i thought with carbs they worked on the venturi principle, creating a vacuum and almost pulling the gas out of the jets?

i'll draw it up tomarrow. I am going to box in the carb and create a plate that goes UNDER the carb as the main lip ect.

why not convert to a tbi setup ? they make a tbi that bolts in place of a carberator. ic can be controlled with a gm ecu of a holley comander 950 ecm. there alot of options avaiable. you could also add injectors bungs buy a tb and do it that with with custom fuel rials. but honestly a 454 chevy tbi unit would floow enugh air for some pretty sick power 425hp n/a so with a turbo it should be ok for like 700hp or. big issue is comming up with big enough injectors. but there rated to 15 psi at 90pph so if you double the pressure youll get like 180pph out of each injector. so theres a junkyard way to do it. if you have a prom burner then you can use a junkyard gm computer to.

there ways to do this. also youd just take your stock duraspark distributor and lock the advance out feed the hall effect trigger to a hei 7 pin ignition moduel
( read easy to do) then have that feed the ecm. and yes gm has factory boost soppurt that can run a tbi.
if you need detials of info email me off the board. this could get insanely lengthy
