Don't wish to be rich as he is. It obviously breed's ignorance, and lack of respect for anything. He'll get his eventually. There was some guy on here that posted *I think* a high HP Passeo tuned with MS. Search.

Toyota 5e-fe:
1991-1995
1497cc
100bhp @ 6400rpm
91lb-ft @ 3200rpm
74mm
87mm
9.4:1 CR

Toyota 4e-fte:
1989-1998
1331cc
135bhp @ 6400rpm
116lb-ft @ 4800rpm
Bore: 74mm
Stroke: 77.4mm
8.2:1 CR

You need to go learn about your engine first.

I know of several 5se-fte conversions using the exhaust manifold and turbo from a 4e-fte. I do not know their power, but I have heard of several failing. Their internals are crappy. Personally, I would treate it like these Honda guys treate their D motors. Crappy, Disposible, and unreliable for the power most people want. So you have to make up for that with great tuning & knowing when to say when.

I *think* The common thing to do is either outright buy a 4e-fte, or hybrid a 5e block, 5e-fhe rods, and 4e-fte pistons, or aftermarket ones.

5e-fe = 175cc
4e-fte = 290cc
You.... *Could* get away with no management if you were smart & staying conservative, like making stock 4e-fte numbers. OBD-I Toyota i4's (No boost) Normally have the 37psi FPR instead of the 41psi FPR, tho I've no idea what E's use. Dispite that, Toyota N/A FPR's when subjected to boost will rise with a 1:1 ratio until the diaphram smacks it's housing. (Most of the time over 10psi)

Aaaaanywho.
Drop 5* of base timing via the distributor
Spin your AFM cog looser

and grab a cheapy eBay FPR to raise the base fuel pressure to 60psi. Be weary of the fuel pump, as with both the stock & ebay FPR's rising at 1:1 rates - you'll be rising at a 2:1 rate to boost on top of whatever you set your base fuel pressure.

Depending on the stock FPR, he'll either have enough fuel for right at 150bhp if he's really lucky on the AFM cog, or about 160bhp if he's really lucky.

So yes... You could do it if you're not looking for huge power levels. You'll run very rich all of the time... but you can do it. Anyway... Despite the fact that it *could* be done, it shouldn't. He'll go like the route of most of the Camry 3s-fte, and 5s-fte, and the zillions of D/ZC Honda's. They'll lean out, and blow up. Be it melting a piston, ringland, ring, or detonation will shatter a rod.

---- both of those motors. Buy an old 2.2 5SFE from a Camry and boost the ---- out of it until the rods snap. Then buy another and do it right.

PS- Rich and "Paseo" are not mutually exclusive.
