anyway many of you know me and have seen my previous setups. and i havent posted much of ---- since my GTI...

EDIT: my name is turbohf....here is why...


i miss my CRX... seen it for the first time since the night i sold it, like 2 years ago...still looked good...

so this is the new project car...1993 Honda Civic CX...

BEFORE money shot lol




just after i got it running in NA status:





B16B/Civic Type R swap, Jeffs old HMT ITB's, Crower 63402A cams, springs/retainers, blah, blah, blah other slow *** NA ----... built it cuz i got a good deal on the motor, always wanted a B16B on ITBs...but NA is ------ slow...

sold off everything but the B16B shortblock... you wanna buy it or know who does? PM me...



now on to the good ----... BOOST setup...



SPOON....lol.... i hated those Konig Helium (Volk CE28 knockoffs) they just bothered me for some reason. so i traded for some Rota Slips... they are light.. and dont bother me as much as the others lol...


BFG 225-50/15 drag radials mounted on the Slips


lol... transition from gay NA status to boost... the 60-1 showin the ITBs who the real bigdog is..








i run NO GAUGES... i have a Si cluster (------ useless), the AVC-R that i mounted down low to be out of the way but still accessible, and of course the PLX (tucked inbetween the seat as pictured)



392whp and 225ft tq


yep only got 4 runs on the setup, and very little street time, and even less time on the drag radials. tuned it on tuesday, mounted the DRs on wednesday, and track on friday.
12.48 @ 123mph w/2.121 60ft im pretty happy with that.. some more time on the DRs im sure i can cut a better 60ft. burnouts sucked werent really smokin up to nicely from my view in the car...

countless hours talking about this car in the beachhouse,but its all worth it in the end.. glad to hear it does what it was built to do..

WHY do they even sell those NA is best stickers.
Im gonna make a sticker that says

A stock Turbo D beat my fully built NA B
I got beat by a junk yard turbo kit
Ill never run 10s (yes i know about the dual carbbed f22)
ITBs make cool sounds
I like to waste money so i built a NA HONDA
if i wanted to go fast i would have gone FI
NA=Not Acceptable

Looks REAAAAL good Dustin. I'm digging it alot. 12.48 at 123mph is pretty fast man especially on a stock motor. So how long you think the B16 will take it's abuse at 400whp and 18psi with just 92 octane?

do you dd it on that 18psi. it must be fairly easy to keep it out of boost.

it has been set on 18psi since we tuned it. and it will probably stay there as long as im on the DRs. once i pick up another set of wheels or have the front tires swapped with some others i might turn it down to setting A...which is like 12-14psi, i dont remember, but its lower and still will try to kill you if you try to one hand the steering wheel at the top of the gears...

yeah for sure, thanks a million! Dave was saying that it was like 170* all the time maybe 180* after lots of repeated raping. took a little creativity to un - / / :1 the radiator but i got the bottom outlet round again..

it had an ABA/16v that put down 300whp and 260tq on pump.
