Default Boosted 4afe

Hi guys.
Have done some searching but couldn't find enough answers!
Anyone on this site have a turbo charged 4afe motor?
I'm from South Africa and looking into boosting my 4afe motor.Have a TD04 13T turbo and 4agze 365cc injectors.Want to boost around 0.7bar on 95octane.
Do you guys think its possible to do this safely on the standard 9.5:1 comp ratio or do I need to drop it?
Will be using 4agze conrods and series3 4agze 8.9:1 pistons as these parts have proved themselfes to be reliable.
Also what will the best FMI size and boost pipe diameter be?
Thanks in advance!
Ewie

Yip,I was there.Had my Yellow Conquest on the line aswell!Got my *** handed to me properly as its very much std.Got Dicktator management now, mapped by Ferroli.
The 13T has a cfm of 360 at 1bar so thought it will be sufficient, with a little water and meth injection as I don't want to drop the comp ratio.
The turbo actually came of a 20valve 4age and ran out of breath at 6500rpm keeping in mind that the 20v has a better flowing head made me think that it will run better on the 4afe head.
I don't want to go down the usual road of 4ag(z/t)e.Its been done too many times. The 4afte is a rare mod.
Whats your take on this post,I'm open to suggestions!

4afte isnt that a Starlet motor?

1) MIke Lotter is the Master of all things toyota, Manny Trix is also a Fundi, What pistons are you gonna boost on and does the Budget allow Fordge Bits?

PS you will be able to achieve .7 bar on pump gas with 95 octane fuel(just at the exspense of timing)on stock pistons. I bielive the stock 4agze/3sgte is good for 1.5 bar with race gas...

Is there any guys running toyota turbo setup on this forum?

Stock compression ratio will be fine. Im running 10 c/r on my supercharged 4age. not to familiar with the turbo you mentioned but anything is better than na, you want to consider a turbo that is easy to upgrade like a t3 or t25 imho. There is a guy on toyotanation.com by the name of flashmn currently running 10+psi on a stock bottom end 4afte. Hit 15 psi if i remember correctly. Gze forged internals have been proven to withstand 350whp+ so i highly recommend them. What fuel management are you gonna use with the 365cc injectors ?

I you can run in region of 0.7bar with a 10.3 c/r then 9.5c/r souldn't be a problem hey?!
The turbo I have is from a Subaru Impreza WRX
.
I installed a Dicktator Management System, its a local system with 3bar MAP sensor, will do the trick.
I'll be using 4agze pistons and conrods,ACL bearings and ARP bolts. The bottom end I don't want to work on again. If the need arise to up the boost/turbo I want to have piece of mind that the bottom end will hold up.Do you think that on this internals at 9.5c/r 1bar will be possible?Like you said ZE internals can handle 350hp and I'm aiming to get 200hp.If detonation wants to rise to the battle field I'll fight it with meth&water injection?!
BTW: If my memory serves me right the Starlet have a 4E FTE motor or something of that effect.

y not run a 7afe with a 4age head? you'll have more displacement and you can still claim that it's not a 4agte setup. anyways, things get too complicated when you try to do something different when it comes to toys. You're better off settting up a 4agte/3sgte with everything known to man to keep it together and you'll be satisfied. i think your pride of doing a "usual" setup will do you in, in the long run. anyhow, if you proceed with your plan...run the early model GZE pistons. they have a lower comp ratio at 8.0:1.
