hey im new to this site and i was just wondering if i could build a homemade turbocharger for my 1986 toyota corolla gts

excellent... how do i go about doing that ... and is there a certain turbo that i must use cuz i dont see anything on how to bulid a turbo for a toyota just dsm and honda based engines

It's just like any other car, except you can't use TE or UB ;)

YES!! Read the FAQ and you'll find lots of information (parts needed, how stuff works, etc., etc.) to get you started. Your biggest issues will be fabrication a manifold and the fuel management system to use.

Anyways, we cant really tell you what turbo to use or what not to use. It's really up to you and what turbo your car can handle. (ex. which turbo spool faster) Since the turbo project is going to be custom. Everything has to be custom.
