Re:turbo wit no O2 sensor???

I recently blew a fuse messing with my o2, and was getting cels for both sensors (heater circuit). The car ran fine. Don't worry about it.

my d16a9 engine from europe does not have an o2 sensor, i cant rev easily past 4k rpm, but i can if i literally stamp on the pedal. does this mean my ECU has gone into limp mode...
do all turbo cars require a o2 sensor?

thanks :)

Re:turbo wit no O2 sensor???

ok listen to a little story i have to tell the no O2 sensor user no o2 sensor the ECU picks up a lean and rich exhaust reading meaning the ecu will then pump more fuel when lean and less fuel when rich . meaning that the ecu cannot pick up the correct and best fuel, spark and air mixture not very good when you are trying to tune your car .... put the o2 sensor on and run the car a CEL is just gonna piss u off cause a CEL can mean more than just an o2 sensor going bad... good luck

Your good to go without and o2 sensor... I have had a code 41 (primary o2 sensor) on my car for a few months and I have benn driving my car a lot. I guess I have noticed recently it has been a little sluggish maybe, but she still revs to redline like a champ. ;D

I do have a new o2 sensor, but I am waiting until I go turbo to stick it in.

QUESTION????

if im hookin u a SAFC wit some DSM's
would it even mater what the O2 sensors read since i'll be
controlling how much fuel to mix?

Quote by TurboEF9:
AFC Hack - The AFC hack refers to a MAP sensor input scaling device (AFC) "hacking" the signal to your ECU and fooling it into thinking that it is not seeing positive manifold pressure. These are normally small electronic devices connected in-line with your ECU. Some more elaborate devices, such as A'pexi's V/S-AFC, SMC, and so forth, accomplish the same thing, but have the feature of being able to tune a specific percentage of "cut" at designated RPM increments. How does this work as a management solution? As positive manifold pressure builds, the MAP sensor sends a voltage signal to the ECU. This signal, if above ~3.1volts on a stock Honda MAP sensor, will cause the ECU to "shutdown" and go into limp mode, rendering your vehicle inoperable until it is turned off and restarted. The AFC intercepts this signal and scales it by a user-defined amount. This scaling allows positive manifold pressure to build while keeping the ECU happy. Fuel compensation for this setup is done by installing larger injectors. These higher flowing injectors allow more fuel to flow through during the same pulse duration to compensate for MAP signal scaling (which decreases fuel flow). No fuel pressure regulator is needed. No upgraded fuel pump should be required. This setup is normally god for ~10psi.

Re:turbo wit no O2 sensor???

even with the afc the ecu still corrects values based on o2 feedback during cruising/part throttle operation.
