Re:Turbo Water Injection System

You mean $100 overpriced based on making one yourself or buying it somewhere else?

Re:Turbo Water Injection System

from their site;

"injects water upstream or downstream of the turbocharger/supercharger"

Would you really want to do that? Wouldnt water injected before the turbo turn to steam once it went through the turbo? I would just think it would end up ------- something up.

I good kit built yourself will cost $120.00 You inject the water inbetween the turbo and throttle body.

deacon, you are correct in thinking it would be bad to pre turbo inject water. after the turbo is best/only way to go

i am thinking of doing this on a non-intercooled turbo setup and the idea of having a kit with all the parts is kind of nice so I don't have to go hunting for fittings or tubing or wire

a high quality diy kit will cost no more then 220, I'm hoping to get mine done for less than 200.

I had more on my other computer, search this site for a thread on it, there was a good one several pages long with lots of links.

Re:Turbo Water Injection System

*sighs*

the only bad part about injecting water BEFORE the turbo, is that it has the possibility of scoring the blades. otherwise it just atomizes the water and you get your reduced intake temps immediately.

same with carbeurated turbo setups that have the carb before the turbo.

Re:Turbo Water Injection System

ya, that's why we inject after the turbo. the idea is you take the best ideas from all of those sites and make your own beautiful setup.
