Turbo/Wastegate Line?
So I just got my new Garrett Super 60 this afternoon and i've been wondering for awhile...if the turbo has no opening for a barb fitting for like a boost line (to the wastegate) on an externally wastegated application, what do you do? I've seen plenty of turbos without openings for it but i've never really thought about it since I didnt have to lol. Somebody let me know if i should just have a hole drilled out at my dealership and get it threaded for a barb fitting.
Anyways, onto the pics :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...t/IMG_0568.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...t/IMG_0569.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...t/IMG_0571.jpg |
Re: Turbo/Wastegate Line?
Just run a vacum line from the manifold etc.Doesnt have to come off the turbo.

Re: Turbo/Wastegate Line?
I put it off the manifold so i get the signal after it has travelled through the intercooler, piping etc in which you loose a little depending on setup.
