Default turbo w/nitrous

Guys, you've been a big help up to this point and I'd like to tap it again.

My project is a '97 satty coupe with the T25 mitsu turbo and smic. i'm going to run the BEGI rrfpr with 290cc/min injectors and walbro 255 pump.

I know already that the T25 spools really fast and gives out pretty quickly but the satty's redline is 6500rpm and I don't intend to go past that anyway so I thought I could use this turbo effectively on the street for not crazy power but just something above stock.

Okay, the questions:

1) Would adj. cam gears allow me to move some of that power from the T25 up in the rpm band a bit?

2) If the adj. cam gears aren't an option for help, I need some hands-on advice about running nitrous with a turbo.

I'm not worried about fuel supply since I would use a wet kit and the walbro can handle the hp needs, but I was thinking of hitting an extra 50hp at the top when the turbo might start to drop off or just for an extra kick.

What considerations do you need to take into count when mixing nitrous with boost? I don't want to run more than 8psi since the injectors I'm going to use may be cutting it close with startup and off-boost driving.

Since adding hp via nitrous is adding it via the nozzles and not the injectors, I can keep the injector size to the boost needs and get the fuel for the juice shot from the nozzles.

Whats your ideas on this? Most people I ask seem not to know the answer since they simple say, 'screw nitrous man, just turn up the boost'. um...I can't.

Nitrous is a NO NO with a TURBo. Just turn up the boost. Id leave the nitrous off unless you got some forged pistons to take the beating

Yes. The gears will help tweak your power range. I would go with this route, instead of nitrous, unless of course your engine is built to take the beating.

i wouldnt use that nitrous on a stock engine and boost or youre gonna be picking the schrapnel out of your oil pan. A T3 48-60 would sacrifice a little responsiveness compared to a T25 but its gonna pull SOOOO much harder on your car, a low redline doesnt mean you need a small turbo, and messing with the powerband im that car probably wont help much since youre prolly gonna find the limit of that T25 very quickly, its pea shooter turbo.

fysh, thanks man. yeah, i know about turbosaturns.net, but believe it or not, this site has helped me more than that one did. lots of misinformation there for sure. but some good too.

i do have forged pistons actually. i do realize the T25 is small but it was almost free, as has been most the kit parts to this point. i have another saturn that is a bit wilder and has engine management so this one is on max budget to keep the wife happy.

alright, sounds like the cam gears will take the T25's power from down low and move it a bit towards the top. my comment about not going over the redline was mainly to protect the valvetrain...it ain't got no 10k redline like you guys.
