Turbo vr6's problems....
my buddy just got his t3 vr6 setup done and was originally using a fuel reg which just didn't work. he put a paxton fmu on last week and it has been worse. it seems to hit, what we think, the knock sensor. it feels like a rev limiter at 3000rpm when it first hit's boost. it didn't do it with the fuel reg but didn't really feel turboed so we figured it was running lean. any suggestions? what fuel management is anyone else running??

Not manny prople here are running with the V-dubs.
Doesnt the VR6 use a MAS? Could it be that its sensing too much air flow? |
Re:Turbo vr6's problems....
some people who boost cars other than hondas use a fuel management called megasquirt. i typed megasquirt in google search engine once and it seemed to be a good fuel manage ment similar to the apexi vafc.

Re:Turbo vr6's problems....
you can run additional injectors with megasquirt.
I'm going to to that with a turboed car later this year.... |
Re:Turbo vr6's problems....
megasquirt is the best indeed, the only thing is u need to make your own wireloom (sp?), and solder the whole thing together :)
then again, 200-250 for a running computer with MAP sensor, where can you find that |
Re:Turbo vr6's problems....
well i read about megasquirt and it seems confusing as hell!! much worse than uber. anyone actually use it? on a vw??

Re:Turbo vr6's problems....
just tell your friend to get an afc or something to that affect and get ride of the fmu

Re:Turbo vr6's problems....
