hi i just got a nice new b18c1 gsr engine for my 93 civic ex i put it in my car and i am wonder what yall think i should do, i only wont to boost 10-12 psi, wont it daily driven, with ac and ps, wont to run mid to high 12's on street tires.... should i do turbo or supercharger? i have been comparing the dyno charts of the JRSC at 10 psi with a turbo set at 10 psi at hondata.com and i have noticed the JRSC gets lots more torq all the time but at 8000 rpm it is 15-20 hp less then the turbo... but the turbo gets crappy torq so what should i do? i plan on buying ebay so i can aford this stuff : ) hehe well thx g2g plz reply fast later

 

no one likes the JRSC sc kits. they're really weak... if you want s supercharger like me... you need to get one that flows more cfms. superchargers are badass

 

Superchargers on a Honda motor is a HUGE waste of money. This one kid has a JRSC with thousands of dollars into it and he's running a 14.1 I spent half the money and ran 12.9 on my Integra with stock internals. with a charger you'll get tired of buying pulleys and chargers have parasitic drag. So they rob power to make power

 

JRSC kits are stupid. 6psi. thats the difference. i'd rather lose 20hp at the very top but have boost acrossed the enitre rpm range

 

JRSC are OK for what they are...but if you want more then 200hp then dont even think about it. there overpriced also.. i have yet to ride/drive in any honda with a supercharger that i really liked. JRSC dont pull hard up top and the vortech s/c have a real peaky power curve.I would only consider turbo.

 

Yeah what are they like $4,000 or something? That's a sweet turbo setup right there. ---- I could build my Z6 and build a custom turbo kit with that much money.

TURBO GO TURBO!! friend of mine has a supercharger on his LS-Vtec and it SUCKS!! he runs about a 14.0 flat. Plus with the money a JRSC cost, you could get some internals for your engine and a REAALLy nice turbo setup!!
