Turbo studs/bolts
Yes, I have searched.
I've always just used the studs that came with a turbo/manifold I've picked up. This last turbo I got had absolutly no studs with it. Am I right in assuming that regular grade 5 bolts will work just fine? I'm just too lazy to go to mitsu to buy some. -CT |

How about just go to the hardware store.

I have so many odd bolts laying around I can usually find the right one if I dig around enough. Pressure plate bolts seem to work good for T3's. __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |
Re:Turbo studs/bolts
I manage a hardware store. Just wanted to make sure nothing screwy happens when you heat up cast iron and mild steel together at over 1000 degrees.
I'll rock some grade 5 hex bolts. Thanks, CT |
Re:Turbo studs/bolts
Just make sure you use lock washers. The expansion and contraction with back out the bolts.

Re:Turbo studs/bolts
would loctite work, or it will eventually melt because of the high heat?

Re:Turbo studs/bolts
I think when loctite gets that hot it becomes worthless.
