Default turbo spooling question

im turbo'n my good ol d15b7 and i was wondering, i have a t3 with .42 a/r and 50 trim and basically i guess that is the same size as a t25. should it spool up in the 2k's like a t25, my friend was trying to argue that because it has the name "t3" its to big and wont boost until like 4k

thanks for the reply, glad that is the case, so what about downpipe/exhaust, 2.5" or 3"? someone said 3" is overkill

2.5 will be plenty unless you plan on making more power with a built or bigger motor
