Turbo SOHC Si: NEED HELP! plz
ok someone help me, i turbo'd my si tonight, and its smoking like crazy out the exhaust, its slow at some places like a DX slow, there was one time i took off and it actually threw me back, what is going on anyone got any ideas to check ? im tired and i been at it the last 6 1/2 hours cuz i ran into forgot this, forgot that syndrome.

Was it a used turbo? it might have blown seals.

garret t25 minor chip on fin downpipe dumping down past the subframe cheezy FMU its white, i know its oil i can smell it. makin me sick |

oil burns blue
lots of gas burns black and coolant burns white loose the FMU. |

yeah drop that fmu and use TE. it might burn smoke because theirs too much pressure going into your turbo. i had the same problem. but i bought the needle valve and it fixed it. so maybe you need a needle valve. the fmu is probably why your car is slow. BTW are u running 450's also??

oil return line is prob. screwed up, and you should fix it asap if it is.
If the smoking goes away after the car gets warm, then its more than likely that the oil while cold is thick, while once it gets warm it smooths out and dranes from the turbo better. If it hasn't already destoryed the seals, you shoudl be fine, if the return line is the problem, which I'm betting it is, but that's just my guess. |
