Turbo to small ???
I have a question, I am running a b18b with 10.5:1 compression and i have a teo4h wich flows 350cfm.
I am pushing 8psi. And i dont know if it is starving my motor for air at 6500rpms. Does anyone know what my engine requires for cfm's. Or any comments??? |
Re:Turbo to small ???
at 6000 rpm you motor needs 200 CFM.
at 8 psig its 260 (at pressure ratio of 1.55) now go lookit your turbo map and plot that. 260 cfm | PR of 1.55 itll work fine. http://www.stealth316.com/2-3s-compflowmaps.htm ^ good page on all that ----. |
Re:Turbo to small ???
sorry, but his name is 'tiny turbo' and he's asking if his turbo is too small, this seems comical to me, ok carry on ;D

Re:Turbo to small ???
yea it is small, a few guys at the race track have named it tiny turbo. The teo4h flows 350cfm at 15psi. So i should be good right?

I am running a b18b with 10.5:1 compression 10.5 an you want a bigger turbo? Heard of many motors poping with out adequate tune.Think of the turbo as a govenor till you get fuel an air an timing adjustable. |
Re:Turbo to small ???
i have the greddy emanage fuel controller with the lap top sofware. And i am using a aem wideband o2 to tune it so i belive the fuel is good

Re:Turbo to small ???
its going to spool really fast and be really torquey. The Ls's peak out (hp and tq) very early. I've never been in a ls that had good pull past 6500.
