Turbo sizing problem....
I sent this to Projekteg but I got no response, I also don't have the message in my outbox so I don't know if it sent, I cc'd it to myself though just incase this happened.
The link you got the information from is down (in the selecting turbo sizet thread), so i could not consult them for answers. The forumla you quoted mentions that Temp rise can be found by the equation "T2 = T1 (P2 ÷ P1)0.283 ", and you go on to show that with parameters of T1 = 75*F, P1 = 14.7psi and P2 = 24.7psi, that: "T2 = 535 (24.7 ÷ 14.7)0.283 = 620 °R". There is only one problem, if you actually work this out to get the solution for T2, it comes out to be 254.4, which clearly is not 620*R. I noticed the problem when I first got a negative Outlet Temperature, and then when that figure began to reach severe negatives when finding AE. A new link, or clarification would be much appreciated. Thanks, Randy |
