there are a couple of cool calculators on that site. i think the turbo size calculator is pretty accurate. it tends to lean towards ball bearing turbos though...which are quite a bit more expensive.

fill me on in what you plan to do in terms of HP and boost. along with the current VE of the engine the way it is

im shooting for low 12s/high 11s. ill build it until i get there.in stock form it is a 2.5 v6 with a 164bhp rating.i also plan to do these numbers with mostly oem parts.

Re:turbo size

honestly, i would say go with a t3/t4 (fluid bearing) turbo with a 60/63 a/r and a stage 3 wheel.

that will be plenty for what you need.

Re:turbo size

yes but these things are monsters when turboed.how does 400 whp on stock internals sound?thats the only reason im looking at bigger turbos than a hybrid.

are you saying that those stock internals can handle 400 hp???????? wow.

BTW a t3/t4 of the spec i gave you is good to roughly 550 hp. although (again) i dont know how much power you plan on putting out.

Re:turbo size

the actuall HP vs Airflow thing depends on the mechanical effiecnecy of the engine. id be willing to bet that a holset hx35 or hx45 might be a better cheaper choice and is more then capable of deliring the goods. they are the standard turbos on the newer dodge turbo cummins diesels.

Re:turbo size

ill make sure and look into that turbo.and yes with a little tuning and bigger injectors these things will take 400 hp all day long.and by oem parts i didnt exactly mean oem probe parts.youd be amazed at what kind of piston/rod setups from other cars fit in this thing.
