Turbo Setup on my D15b7
I'm startin to peice togther my setup and I have a few questions. I want to spend the least amount of money on this with certain compremises. For now I have the turbo, Garrett T3, dsm sidemount waitin to be modified, and The HF manifold. My question is, will a fmu and injectors be fine or should i go with chipped ecu?

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
Go with another ECU and some other injectors :6

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
Stock ECU, stock injectors, and you can save some serious cash by not running a hose to the wastegate actuator.

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
If you keep the turbo in the trunk of your mad tite Ferio it will make your install pretty easy and you can run your stock injectors and everything.

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
Don't be hating on rear mounted turbo setups.

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
Not hating...just suggestion. The floor of your backseat is another option. You should see how fast that T3 can spool sitting on your dad's work bench in the garage.

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
It'd spool even better if he just shipped the T3 to me. ;D

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
you guys shure know how to welcome someone
seriously is it more worth while to ship my ecu than a fmu if im only runnin 6-7 psi |
Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
Well here's the question you need to ask yourself, are you willing to pay the price to get it chipped, then tuned for 6-7 psi? An FMU would probably be better if tahts all you're ever going to do. If you plan on going bigger in the future, i'd definitely get the ecu chipped.

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
Or even better, just get a greddy bluebox. My ---- pulled up to 14psi on it and never had any hiccups. Yeah it was only a rhb5 but I liked it.

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
ok so i think im just goin to go with FMU and missin link for the map. with fmu i should just run the stock injectors right. and another question is, what about timing retard.. how should i go upon that i do i even have to?

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
how would i go about findin a chip with basic basemap for 8psi?

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
ok, the other thing i was thinkin was to just buy the moates chip programmer and like 10 chips and charge people locally to chip their ecu for a good price. how complicating is it to do it. and i also seen on stealthmode i think that you can buy a single chip and give them the info for what you want on it.

Re: Turbo Setup on my D15b7
It's very simple, but it sounds like you should do some more reading before you start chipping friend's ecus, have your be the guinea pig. I would rather run my car on a basemap than an FMU.
