i have that same wastegate seems to be working just fine :) i would of bought the cast iron turbo mani though, i have a feeling that manis gonna crack

kronkus 04-13-2009 02:03 AM

Ya. Those manis do crack. Hope u have a welder. And try to brace it up, the least amount of weight on it the longer u can make it last

Claudio157 04-14-2009 08:43 AM

that looks like a nice kit :)

boostcreepin 04-14-2009 12:09 PM

everything looks good execpt that mani isn't worth 2 shits. sell it to some dumb ---- and buy a cast iron

kleenef 04-14-2009 11:43 PM

good start

geofarace 04-14-2009 11:47 PM

I would like to see where or how you mount that IC cause I know where one is at!!

Da1andonlyJinx 04-15-2009 12:25 AM

if you wanted to plumb the WG into the Down pipe, that would take a little more work. Just in case you didn't notice.

B16Drag 04-15-2009 02:29 AM

Good luck on spooling that turbo and blowing up that motor! ;) You might want to get a better intercooler...

patfraser3 04-15-2009 06:13 AM

intercooler is gonna go under the hood inside the left wing il post up picture when my brackets will be done and for the wastegate ill just get a dump tube i guess...

B16Drag 04-15-2009 07:26 PM

you really want the intercooler to be exposed to the air coming in from the front air dam, not hidden in the wheel well as it does little except get heat soaked. If I were you, I'd get a decent intercooler that is front mounted...

patfraser3 04-15-2009 07:50 PM

Dont worry im putting a Kinda hood Scoop where the intercooler is

crxb18t 04-15-2009 08:08 PM

yea the t3t4 is gonna take a bit to spool up. you should look into a smaller t3 .42 .48 will be fine for your goals.

lunch_box 04-15-2009 11:06 PM

looks awsome to me going to be a sleeper

MoFasterthenUr's 04-16-2009 12:19 AM

I see too many bad reviews on ebay turbos. but I have seen a couple people get lucky. lets see If your one of the lucky few.

SlowVrT 04-16-2009 10:05 AM

i kno a good amount of people running ebay turbos, and im one of them, has long as u have a good oil restrictor you should be good to go

patfraser3 04-16-2009 07:32 PM

Oil restrictor? maybe the only thing i dont have :P what is it and how much is it and how can i get one?

SlowVrT 04-16-2009 08:30 PM

it limits oil going to the turbo so u dont blow the seals, i got mine from ebay

patfraser3 04-16-2009 08:49 PM

how could i make one homemade?

patfraser3 04-16-2009 08:50 PM

or i guess ill just get one at canadiantire or sumthin like that...

patfraser3 04-19-2009 04:08 PM

Alright, got my oil restrictor, piping for the intercooler done now the only thing im missing is bolt the manifold to my engine and get 440 injectors and im boosted!! :)

SlowVrT 04-20-2009 10:56 AM

hell yea get it done....

izzyef8 04-20-2009 11:24 AM

looks good

CivicJunkie 04-20-2009 01:29 PM

yeah i really wouldnt trust anything like that manifold off of ebay

crxb18t 04-20-2009 02:38 PM

I got the cast manifold from ebay and worked great no problems at all. went through many kits with tubular mani's from ebay aswell and also worked fine but with a smaller t3 turbocharger.

Turbo10 04-30-2009 12:28 AM

my buddy used a mani like that. It cracked once. then we built supports and It hasn't cracked anymor.. Good luck... BTW did you pick up some place mats and dish towels when you were at Canadian Tire? LOL That place sells everything.

RyAn007 04-30-2009 01:10 AM

Yea, those manifolds do crack so weld up a few supports which will help you, the ebay turbos can be hit or miss but in my opinion and experience, they are just as good as certain name brand products. You will have fun with that setup, post up some times or dyno results when you are finished.

arok22 04-30-2009 10:58 AM

We all know someone who has gotten lucky with ebay parts... but really, why buy the same stuff twice? You will save money and time buying name brand, tested and trued products. Really... an HF mani is better/stronger than your tube mani. (HF mani free -$30, 14b or T25.. $100 or less) I know you will have fun with the set up... but for how long? Good parts and a good tune will make your car more reliable and engine last way longer.

kronic 04-30-2009 05:23 PM

U should be good with this set up, what r u gonna be tuning with?

jared529 04-30-2009 06:03 PM

Mani gonna go. great start
