turbo set up need help!!!
alright i almost got everything but im not sure as for what is needed. since i already installed my engine im not going to notch my block to add the vitaras and rods. but what im trying to figure out is this. WHAT IS ALL ------ NEEDED?? I MEAN EVERYTHING FOR THE TURBO i understand the manifold, wastegate, bov, oil lines, dp, but as far as boost controller, fmu, base map, fuel pressure regulator, gauges etc what do i actually need. my setup is this.
i have a d15b vtec
t3 turbo
1/8 inlet oil line
intercooler
downpipe
silicone and clamps
bov
wastegate
i just need to know what i need out of the above for my application. The reason why i post this is because i have not seen this posted around as far as what other stuff you need besides the necessary bolt on stuff. Thank you

Re: turbo set up need help!!!
you need to do a lot more reading and research if you think this hasn't been covered. Its been covered here thousands of times here, and a shitload of times in pretty much any other decent honda forum. and I'm not just telling you to do more research just so you don't get flamed (you're going to get flamed anyway) but to protect your own engine from the horrible things you and your turbo are going to do to it without doing more research. Many have already done everything you want to do, and many have done right ups on it. good luck.

Re: turbo set up need help!!!
I suggest you read the engine management faq.
If you are using an fmu, you don't need a chipped ecu with a basemap or larger injectors. You don't need a different fuel pressure regulator regardless of what route you choose.
As far as gauges, buy as many as you can afford. The most important gauges IMO are oil pressure, water temp, and boost.

after posting pics of nude girl (hot, with not huge nipples) on car or in bed:
what you need:
-chipped ecu running crome w/a basemap and either a good tuner that has a wideband or get one yourself and learn to tune
-bigger injectors (preferably dsm 450's-- big enough for your application and available for cheap)
----------------the two things above are all you NEED for fuel management. period. (for a safetly precaution, get a walbro 255lph fuel pump or a fuel pump from xenocron, but since it doesn't sound like you plan on running very much boost, you prob don't have to worry about it.)
-gauges: (at minimum) oil pressure and boost gauges. (also useful): water temp, pyrometer, wideband
-you don't need a boost controller to start, this is to turn up your boost later when you become unhappy with the current boost level you are running (they can't be used to turn boost down at all)
-sounds like you still need charge piping, some line for an oil return line, either fittings, or a pipe to weld into your oil for the oil return line, vaccuum lines (for the w/g vacuum line I use a small diameter fuel line or oil line from autozone b/c it gets hot on the turbo and will melt or make gooey of regular rubber)
-do you have a manifold yet?
-boost will not happen if you attach the downpipe to stock exhaust, especially with a cat
