Talk to the gpop shop.... He'll help you out and provide what you need.

I'm 90% sure its a dynamic seal that is needed. you can try calling TurboCity 714.639.4933

I ordered a rebuild kit from them last year, it was like $90 for all the seals and gaskets.

there you go, its an old thread of mine. you can take it all apart and figure out what you have.

Just a tip: the little nut on the comp wheel is left hand thread.

THe seal certaily failed because the bearings got worn out. a complete rebuild kit is needed.
Not a cheesy ebay one with stock size bearings but some oversized ones to remove shaft play. MAybe an oversize piston ring too. none of that is available from ebay. BE carfull as many "complete" rebuild kits on ebay are from china and are a major DOWNGRADE to your garrett turbo.

Machining and polisihing of your CHRA and shaft is involved, as well as rebalancing of the rotating assembly. To have this done in 2 days, you need to find a local turbo shop with the required parts in inventory.
Or, you need to purchase a replacement rebuilt center section on which you simply have to slap your housings.

i think the seal is blown because when i first built everything i was a cheap *** and didnt put a restrictor in the line. but now i have one and it doesnt leak quite as bad but its still bad enough to where i want to rebuild it. there was a kit on ebay from g-pop that looks pretty complete. this isnt the first trubo ive rebuilt ive done my fare share. this is the first small turbo ive built though and hell...they cant be that much different so i think ill give it a shot. ive never had one explode on me befor so i got a pretty good feeling about this one. i reckon ill just rip it appart and have one next dayd to me or maybe call ------- whats his name at turbo tune...idk...well see. thanks for the help though guys
