7500 rpm i was not expecting. i assumed since the motor was very small displacement it would redline higher than that.

Cobbling=something built with a general lack of skill, thought, and engineering. Its ugly, doesn't work well, and breaks very easily.

The 2-stroke motors Rev that high. But the 4-stroke motors don't. Even the stock ruckus 50cc redlines stock at 9000

interesting. im use to sport bikes. 600cc 4 cylinder sportbikes rev at 16,000 rpm, 750cc at 14,500 rpm and 1000cc at 12,500 rpm so i figured a 200cc engine would rev the same or higher.

One would think. Unfortunately scooter motors aren't built with the same quality, or amount of engineering. When its all boiled down, scooters are made for economy. Performance wasn't really factored in at all.:(
