My buddy had a badass 4 door Saturn. It ran 13.5 on the bottle and this was back in 98' so that was hotness back than.

A turbo Saturn would be cool, something different so go for it.

Re:TURBO SATURN?

I have seen a couple turboed saturns. I'm sure there have to be people makin mnaifolds etc for them. I know gude had a turbo kit for some saturns but gude stuff is way overpriced.

my moms 99 sl2 has a 1.9dohc 140 hp lots of tq.. its like a turbo ls possibly better. it is faster than a civic ex stock and a ls integra... id build one to be different

Re:TURBO SATURN?

I used to have the 95 civic turbo, 14b 10psi ;D. but then i got jacked and no full covarge >:( so i decided maybe with a saturn i could get away from geting my car jacked and be diffrent. i went to cars.com and they got a great rating. and they are very cheap too. but fuel management looks hard, and ideals?

Re:TURBO SATURN?

i dont know if saturn's are peak and hold or saturated or whatever...but you can run a afc controller and do it that way possibly with some 450cc's if you can fit them...

there is a stand alone out there soem where becuase i have a video of a guy named "titan" that has turbo saturn he is racing a 240sx or whatever and he is tuning it ,.. blah blah blha .. sparks out the tail pipe...blah blah...

so there is a stand alone...no idea for price...

afc controller is always an option otherwise fmu unit + msd unit...

Re:TURBO SATURN?

another option would be to take that 4k, spend $1000 on a nice crx, and take the rest and get a decent motor, build the kit and get a really nice alarm...

Re:TURBO SATURN?

I didn't see any times, but 100mph is about 13.4 with perfect traction, or 14.0 in a FWD car, hehe...

My wife likes the 3-door saturns, and I drive a 93' SL1 beater to work everyday that I paid $800 for 2 years ago.

The engine has done me good, but the interoir parts are just insanely nasty !!

Even the torque in my SL1 5-speed impressed me a little !! But it also helps my civic FEEL like an 11sec car after I only drive the saturn for a while, hehe...

#1 reason not to buy a saturn ??... ITS AMERICAN !!!
Sad enough, I'd feel better about turboing my 150K mile SL1 than my 50K mile ford focus, hehe... Fords are the worse, hehe ( minus powerstrokes and cobras )...

It CAN be done. Heres my buudy Joey (bagodonuts). I worked for him a few years back, good fellow cheap parts for Saturns. My fat ass is even in the Staff section hehe (Derek) We built a sub 13 sec turbo Saturn and let me tell you that thing rips and is a super sleeper http://6thplanetusedparts.com/accessories2.html

My Turbo Ford Escort has been treating me good. 8)
They did come factory turbo'd in the 80's, the motors have'nt changed much, just more displacement, high compresstion and minus the turbo. But the OEM turbo manifolds still fit.

Anyway's here's the turbo saturn page

Hmmm. I was with my friend Dave in his turbo LS and an older saturn 4dr tried to race us and it seemed to keep up alright for a bit. It was in the Boyertown area so I wonder if it was the same guy. That would be weird but I really doubt a saturn on the bottle lasted 8 years...
