TURBO S-10
I HAVE BEEN FABING MY OWN TUBO SETUP ON MY 88 S-10 AND HAVE SOME QUESTIONS THAT NEED ANSWERING BY SOME MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE. I AM STIL NEW AT THE WHOLE TURBO THING.
1. HOW MUCH BOOST AM I GONNA MAKE WITH A STOCK IHI TURBO OUT OF A 1986 ISUZU IMPULSE ON MY 2.4L CHEVY 4 CYL?
2. HOW DO MAKE MY OWN BOOST CONTROLLER?
3. WHERE DO I FIND A FMU? DO I REALLY NEED ONE?WHY?

You will boost as much as ya want, Not to much though. Dont wanan ---- ur engien up. You need a Fmu to rasie the fuel pressure and dump more fuel when boostin, I dont know who to make your own MBC but a guy sells some for 10 bucks on EGAY

That turbo is a bit small for youre engine....but I guess it should work if you'r engine doesn't rev to high.
You'll spool up pretty damn quick. I don't know how strong your engine internals are....I would research on that first, but I guess 8 psi would be safe.
Get some larger injectors....look into chipping your ecu, or go the other route...get an FMU and maybe a bit larger injector.

Ebay, Store.. anywhere an FMU is sold. No, you don't specifically need an FMU. WHat you do need is a way to increase fuel. There are many ways to accomplish that goal.
You really need to get and read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. It will answer 90% of your questions.
